Mailto link generator
Build a mailto link from the fields you fill in: recipient address, subject, body, CC and BCC. The tool combines them into a single mailto URL and regenerates the link live as you edit any field.
Subject and body are percent-encoded automatically so that spaces, quotes and special characters do not break the link. The resulting address can be pasted into an <a href="..."> tag, an email-signature editor, or directly into a browser address bar.
Mailto links — common questions
What is a mailto link?
A mailto link is an href starting with mailto: that opens the visitor's default email client with a message pre-filled with the recipient, subject and body you specified.
Are the subject and body encoded automatically?
Yes. The generator percent-encodes the subject and body so spaces, quotes and special characters stay intact in the final link.
Can I add CC and BCC addresses?
Yes. Fill in the CC and BCC fields and they are appended to the link as cc= and bcc= parameters. Separate multiple addresses with commas.
When is a single mailto link useful?
On contact pages, support buttons or email signatures where a full contact form is overkill. The visitor clicks and a pre-written message opens in their mail client.
